I am Lukas De Clercq, photographer and researcher in heart and soul. Some may know me through my work at the different political simulations in Belgium, such as the Youth Parliaments and Model United Nations. Other notable works include the essay on pollution in the Antwerp port and many different alpine albums.
In my work I focus on telling the entire story, without letting quantity have a negative impact on the quality. My goal is to recreate all aspects of the subject in one coherent album, consistent in style, resulting in an accurate yet aestethically pleasing representation. The only place where that is possible is right in the middle of the action.
When I started out several years ago, buying a decent camera cost me the better part of my savings, but it's without any doubt still the best investment I've ever made. People who know me know my camera, and I intend to keep it that way.
